NICOLLET — Two men were critically injured when they crashed in a rural Nicollet County intersection.
A semi was northbound on Highway 111 and collided with a pickup that was eastbound on County Road 5 at around 12:15 p.m., according to the State Patrol.
The intersection is north of Nicollet. There are stop signs on County Road 5 (also known as Old Fort Road) and no stop signs on Highway 111.
The pickup driver, Bradley Jay Block, 60, of New Ulm, was airlifted to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester with life-threatening injuries.
The semi driver, David Thomas Gorka, 49, of Burtrum, was taken to the Mankato hospital with life-threatening injuries.
