LE CENTER — A Le Center woman is facing felony charges for fraudulently receiving $19,000 in public assistance while failing to report her income as a stripper.

An investigation was launched after Rasheeda Samoa Lilley, 38, reported on government assistance applications she was unemployed but renting a home. A tracker placed on her vehicle showed she repeatedly went to a strip club in the Twin Cities, according to a criminal complaint.

Investigators reportedly observed Lilley at the club and a manager provided records indicating Lilley had been working there since 2015.

Lilley allegedly then admitted she dances at the club three days a week, earning $100 to $300 a day in tips.

Lilley was charged Friday in Le Sueur County District Court with felony counts of wrongfully obtaining assistance and forgery.

She reportedly received an estimated $19,000 in assistance for which she wasn't eligible.
