MANKATO — The annual Raw Fusion fashion show set a donation record this year with $40,000 to the Jonathan Zierdt Cancer Fund.

The donation will go toward the fund's Box Campaign, which will continue funding the JZ Caring Box program. The program provides specially designed care packages for area cancer patients, their families and caregivers.

The Minnesota River Builders Association puts on the show each spring.

"We are so very grateful to the Mankato community and how they have embraced Raw Fusion since its beginning nine years ago," Amy Kolb, the association's executive director, said in a statement. "Because of that support, we are able to make our record donation today and contribute to Jonathan Zierdt’s incredible legacy."
