EAGLE LAKE — Five people were hospitalized, including four 18-year-olds from Rochester, following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 14 Friday in Eagle Lake.

The Rochester residents were in a 2016 Mazda CX-5 and suffered non-life-threatening injuries when the driver of a 2019 Subaru Ascent failed to yield at the intersection of Highway 14 and 598th Street near the Casey's store in Eagle Lake, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Paige Elise McPeak was the driver of the Mazda, and passengers were Julian Juan Bretton, Oliver Paul Dahlberg and Kathryn Margaret Hyberger.

The driver of the Subaru — Kari Jo Lundberg, 51, of Redwood Falls — was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries in the 5:21 p.m. crash.

All five were wearing seat belts and were taken to the Mankato hospital. Alcohol was not a factor.
