MANKATO — The City Center Partnership will be in need of a new director again with its current leader set to leave in July for a new position.
Audra Shaneman was hired for the Mankato position in March after previously leading the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce. She’ll now return to New Ulm to be the city’s economic development director and assistant city manager.
The New Ulm resident said the position she’s leaving for wasn’t open when she took the City Center Partnership job.
“We’ve been in a whirlwind of opportunities, and it’s a great opportunity,” she said of her new position. Her last day at the City Center Partnership will be July 1 before starting in New Ulm on July 5. The New Ulm City Council held a special meeting Monday morning to approve Shaneman’s appointment.
The City Center Partnership is a business unit of Greater Mankato Growth. Before Shaneman, Megan Flanagan served in the role for nearly four years.
