MANKATO — A young Mankato man who allegedly fathered a child with a 15-year-old is now charged with a felony.
Tahviaun Alahzae Long, 19, was charged with criminal sexual conduct Wednesday in Blue Earth County District Court.
Last fall a mother reported her 15-year-old daughter ran away with Long and left a note informing her she was keeping her unborn baby.
Long and the girl were located after Long stole a vehicle and crashed it during a brief pursuit. He spent 40 days in jail and is on probation.
After the girl gave birth, police obtained a warrant to conduct a paternity test. The test results recently confirmed Long is the father, according to the court complaint.
