MONTGOMERY — An armed robbery suspect was arrested and jailed after an incident involving a knife at a convenience store in Montgomery Thursday morning.

Montgomery police responded to a call at 10:22 a.m. reporting an unknown disturbance at Food n Fuel. While en route to the disturbance, the officer received a call reporting the suspect was leaving the store.

When the officer arrived on scene, it was determined that disturbance was, in fact, an armed robbery involving a knife. A large knife was recovered at the scene.

Hector Keith Guerrero, 22, of Montgomery was arrested and jailed. During a court appearance Friday, he was charged with second-degree assault, attempted aggravated robbery and making terroristic threats.

Police Chief John Schmidt said there were no injuries.
