Our Policies

We reserve the right to edit or reject and advertising We reserve the right to adjust advertising rates at any time and will give the advertiser at least 30 days written notice. We will not be responsible for omissions or errors except for the first insertion. In case of error that affects the material value of the advertisement, the publisher's liability will be limited to the amount of space occupied by the error. We mail a monthly invoice/statement. Payment is due in full upon receipt of invoice. One column ads will run in the classified section. Because of space limitations, please make color reservations early.

Indemnification

The Advertiser and/or advertising agency agrees to defend and indemnify the Publisher against any and all liability, loss or expense arising from claims of libel, unfair competition, unfair trade practices, infringement of trademarks, copyrights, trade names, patents or proprietary rights of violation or rights of privacy, resulting from the publication of the Advertiser's advertisement.

Classified ads

$16.75 for seven (7) lines for a private classified, each additional line 
is $1.25; $22 for business classifieds, each additional
line is $1.25. Classified ads accepted by mail or by phone with VISA,
MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Classified ads can also be sent by
e-mail to theland@thelandonline.com. Mail classified ads to The Land, P.O.
Box 3169, Mankato, MN 56002. Please include credit card number, expiration
date and your postal address with ads sent on either mail version.
Classified ads may also be called into (800) 657-4665. Deadline for
classified ads is noon on the Monday prior to publication date, with holiday
exceptions. Distributed to farmers in all Minnesota counties, as well as on
The Land's website. Each classified ad is separately copyrighted by The

Land. Reproduction without permission is strictly prohibited.

2010 Publication Dates

Deadlines for advertising material are nine days prior to publication. Deadlines for editorial material are three weeks prior to publication.
